Kinda ironic that I enjoy this show more when they're not doing orchestra so I don't have to see the CGI.

It's not even bad lol, it's noticeable but it doesn't interrupt my engrossment.

It's ok. The stiffness of the CGI takes me out of it especially when the characters try to sell them playing as some sort of mesmerizing moment.

That's like me watching the 2d art style of how a realist hero rebuilt a kingdom and trashing all 2d hand drawn anime because the show is 30% 2d PowerPoint. Which wasn't even bad as the story was good just like ao no orchestra. Imagine not watching God eater because it has cgi. Hell don't even watch the fate series or Mappa Chainsawman they're all blended cgi.

I kinda did not enjoy God Eater but it's not the CGI. Hell I like Hi-Score Girl and it's not even top-tier. My point of contention is that the actual thing you center your show about (it's literally in the title) shouldn't look the worse. But what floats the boat.

Let's be real though: If you were part of the team animating this and you had to painstakingly draw 125 individual people moving at once FOR EACH FRAME, you would probably kill yourself. There is no reasonable way to animate an entire orchestra by hand.
CGI is the only answer here, and there are far worse CGIs out there (excluding Kaminaki Sekai). I know CGI isn't pleasant, but I'd rather not see the alternative.
